We have been around the gambling business for a while.
And one thing we know better than: taking every game on the slate.
But hey sometimes its fun. And we're not betting big.
Tonight we went 4-2, bringing our record to 13-5.
We lost a few in heartbreaking fashion:
Took Buffalo to win:
The Thrashers are now responsible for two of our losses.
First road win, a-holes.

They trade the centerpiece of the Dan Boyle deal to the Flyers for nothing at all and Steve Downie.

I'm convinced Gary Bettman has allowed owners like Boots in Nashville and the Douchebag brothers in Tampa so that they destroy the franchises and make them easier to move or contract.
Tampa has a huge fan base though.
...They just have the major bucks. Bettman is more worried about financially sound owners than smart ones.
You have to figure Tampa is clearing up cap space for something.
They couldn't have made that trade based on the players' talents, right?

yupp, but you know what? I'm lovin' that they're apathetic no-shows... cause I get to get 10 dollar tickets with my student id, and then move down to the good seats. And Islander fans are not nearly as difficult to deal with as say, Rangers fans. (since they don't really care) :)
Things would have had to have gone terribly wrong on June 30th if the Islanders fans were to boo lowly Miro Satan for not resigning.

I dislike the new Lightning ownership DEEPLY, but I find it kinda hard to believe that ANY GM, even a notoriously bad one(theirs may be bad, but not notoriously so though this deal could put him over the edge) would make a deal like that for shits n giggles. Those bastards are up to something...and I don't like it.

I could see them make a big move, and highly overpay, just to get another big name player to try and bring fans in.
Lets see if we can annoy the Tampa Bay fans by infiltrating and then suggesting that they're clearing cap space for Marian Gaborik.
