A lot of people left the Devils for dead after Brodeur went down.
But quietly the Devils have done okay, and they are far from dead.
Still, Kevin Weekes and Scott Clemmensen don't strike fear in to you like Brodeur would.

PS. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay for Scuds. He's been playing really well thus far, so if you're going to be gay for anyone, Scuds is a pretty good choice, among others.
I hope Letang gets some chances to shoot because his shots could potentially kill someone...but "if he dies, he dies."

Dying Alive, my whole memory of being a Pens fan post Lemieux version 2.0 was "who the hell is this Rico Fata/Ramzi Abid/Lasse Pirjeta/etc. Those that didn't sit through those trying times will never understand how special a team that we have, nor will they experience the full rush that comes when we finally lift that Cup. How far this team has come will be lost on them, but that's ok...

bigwilliesmith, I've had that one ready, but have yet to attend a shootout. Although during the Sabres game a few weeks ago, I yelled "Don't shoot!" while Crosby had it in the slot on the PP, he then slid it to Goligoski for the goal. There were several laughs in the section. One small victory in the war against "SHOOOT!"
For the meh performance last night (I didn't think we played badly--third period bit us in the balls), tonight is definitely making up for it.

Why debriss? I hate when Therrien pulls Sabu or Fleury when the Pens are down by two with like 15 seconds left. Jersey had a draw in their own end and needed to score 2 just to tie, it was a fine coaching decision.

Very good 60 min effert right to the end wish I was there standing O at the end by fans good stuff. Much better execution on PP as well. Letang showing glimpses of his shot. Hope to see more of that because believe me this guy has both an excellent wrist shot plus moves. Not to mention a freakin cannon of slapper.
Good effort to the end and loved Malkins and sids enthusiasm and driving to the net.
I am not sure we realize what a lucky, lucky bunch we are to be able to watch a great team night in night out. It willget even better I believe as the PP evolves a truely strong 2nd PP.

Sabu's helmet makes me nervous because every time I see a puck fly toward his head, I think about the fact that he's got a baby painted on it. Pucks hitting a baby = not my thing, even if it's only a painted-on baby.
Awesome game by the Pens, especially Bing. Watching all of the doucherockets sitting behind the netting try to throw their hats onto the ice only to see them bounce off and fly back into the crowd entertained me to an irrational degree.
what a game. finally as close to a 60 minute effort as they come.
great play by the obvious bunch, but i was very impressed by fedotenko tonight. didnt show on the score sheet, but he was physical and battling along the boards like no other. pesonen also looked more visible than last game, which isnt saying much, but he had a couple of plays where he tracked back. big win overall. woooooo.

FH, Jersey would have had a better chance to tie if they pulled him in the midst of a solid rush instead of making it a must-win faceoff. Their defense was so soff and demoralized at that point that it was a foregone conclusion.
A fine coaching decision, you're right, but only when the team the coach is playing isn't vomiting. I just thought it was funny. I was just being spiteful. You, of all people, should know what that's like. :D
