I was only barely turning 5 when Badger Bob passed, but I can remember watching some of the Stanley Cup games from the previous year and my Dad praising Bob for how he handled the players.
I guess it was fitting that at midnight it was raining in California for the first time in what seems like forever.

I will never forget how Bob made us all believe in the Pens and ourselves. He was a great guy who really loved life. He just went so suddenly in his prime. I think thats why it still is painful for everyone. God bless Bob and his family.

Errey got the report during the game that Talbot was doubtful to return. Normally, if a player sustains an injury that early in the game and can't come back, they'll say so. "Doubtful" tells me that he probably could've come back if absolutely necessary, but they told him to take the rest of the night off and not risk anything serious.
maybe since he's had foot issues before, it's more of a precaution?

The Islanders sent an email inviting me to buy tickets for this game. I would have gone if I had a way there.
What a range of emotions. The first 39 minutes were crap, which has happened to me in the past at the Nassau Mausoleum. But the last 21 more than made up for it. Malkin proving once again he is a beast.
