as for the Flyers... we hate them because their disrespectful fans are more annoying than the players for dumping popped corn and beer on our players during games. we hate them because they take cheap shots and exploit injuries. we hate them because the Pittsburgh/Philly rivalry has existed in every aspect since our two cities were founded. if you need more reasons, just go back to every game we've ever played against those tools and you'll see why the hate has grown. our rivalry with Detroit will be short-lived, but we will never be over our rivalry with the Flyers. playing games against these two teams back-to-back makes Pens fans cream themselves.

Am I really the only one who doesn't care that Montreal is going to cheat their forwards into the All-Star game? It's an exhibition game that means less than the preseason games and is watched by ten thousand people.
I understand that it's supposed to be an honor to make it on the team and the people of Montreal don't hold that sacred, but I don't think we should stoop to their level. I'm just going to keep voting for Cooke, Talbot, Kennedy, Gonch, Whitney, and Fleury and see what happens.

Lets vote in Brooks first off. Could you imagine? It would be the first ASG with hits, injuries, and penalties. Second lets vote in Godard, and some fighters from the West, so that we can see some ASG fights.

The NHL has now added a CAPTCHA to the fan balloting (meaning that you must now enter random letters and numbers each time you register).
This will hopefully solve the cheating.

Where there's the problem. THe NHL said from the start that you can vote as many times as you want. Where's the cut off point of legit multiple votes and illegitamate multiple votes?

it's not the point of the Habs winning, but it was how it was done.
Their arrogant fans not only published one, but two different ways to cheat, then bragged on the Habs board and Puck Daddy's blog about it. Then when they are questioned about it, certain reporters chalk it up to hockey being a religion in those parts. Yeah, maybe, but there are certain people in other parts of the world outside of the PQ that are very knowledgeable fans and don't resort to a lame javascript to tally up votes.
The first clue that they were cheating should have been the 7k votes that their players picked up between 530 and 730. Most people I know are either drooling on their pillow or cooking toast at that time, not huddled over the laptop or desktop trying to insure Alex Tanguay gets a spot on the roster.
But here's what I say: to hell with them. Habs fan will cheat, water will seek it's level and all will be right when this so-called contest is over. Sid demolished all competition last year. Not by a mere 40k votes, but by 273 thousand votes. Sid had over 500k votes and the next closest person could have tried to go 2-for-1 on their votes and still not caught Sid. Name me one reason why Sid and/or Geno will not come close to those votes totals this year...ok, aside from somebody making another bot, name me one reason.
If they don't make it, oh well. They'll be picked up as reserves regardless. It'll just be the year that Montreal received a free handout from the NHL.
