Pesonen will be on the ice tonight.
Dupuis will not. He's out until at least Thursday.
Eaton's a healthy scratch, and Sydor will take his spot.
Peso will play with Malkin and Sykora. This has the chance of becoming one of our favorite lines ever. Even though Peso has never played an NHL game, maybe something magical will be in the makings.

Much better period of play all around. The 1st Blues goal was just awkward with it fluttering and deflecting and MAF screened. The second made me a little upset as Sykie just got beat to the net by his man. It happens though.

If the Pens player's stick hit the puck, it would've come out towards center ice and not diagonally across the crease. The defenseman's stick was facing so that it would've batted the puck directly back up the ice and not to the other side of the crease.

In all honesty, most of the posters at LGP are decent.
There is a somewhat small group there, though, who are either overreactionary after losses or ridiculously critical of personnel moves and/or players. Or all three.
There are a few posters there who have been posting since the day he was drafted that Fleury is a bust, and that Goligoski was one of the absolute worst picks in the history of the franchise.

That was an absolutly gorgeous game. The one bad play was Sykora getting beat to the net by his man. Other than that absolutly perfect in every facet. That's a great way to end the road trip.
Though, I guess I'm a little upset at the lack of goonery on our side. There were lots of slashes, but no response from the likes of Godard or Orpik. Be nice to see a little behind the play stick between the legs and lift actually. Nothing like getting crotched by a hockey stick.
Satan and Crosby looked good together for the first time and Talbot I think is the icing on the cake, absolutly great.

Talbot Sid Satan line was golden. Speaking of gold, the Golden boy looked good, especially his sandwich of the game. Gene Gene the Scoring Machine showed why he isn't Ovechkin. I would bet my life on Ovechkin shooting that puck instead of giving it to a teammate who needed it. Maybe if Semin needed one more goal to pass Malkin in stats he would have passed it, but just because the guy was without a goal? Ovechkin would have shot it.
God I hope the Blues make the playoffs this year. They were an entertaining team to play against. Lots of "ohhh shit" moments on defense tonight.
Overall, a very heartening win. Wooo!
