Got my tickets for my Caps ticket package yesterday. Of course, they did screw up and send me tickets to the game against Colorado on February 20 instead of the Pens game on the 22nd, but it's being sorted out. At least there's still nearly five months before that game for the replacement tickets to get back to me.
Section 416 for the game on the 22nd, section 417 for the game on March 8.
Plus another nine games, first of which is October 13 against Vancouver. Really looking forward to some good hockey this year and watching the Pens own the Caps in Washington yet again.
And for those of you asking why I got a Caps partial-season package, it's because I'm one of those Virginia-based Penguins fans, but I don't really have anything against the Caps when they're not playing Pittsburgh. Maybe if they start beating the Pens on a regular basis, some animosity might develop, but until then, I have no problem rooting for the Caps as a hometown(ish) team 78 times a year.

I contacted the Jokerit organization and someone advised me that there will be a TV broadcase in Finland (Finnish market), but nothing else. We'll have no coverage.

There is a serious lack of ads on the goalie helmets. That is a ton of ad space they are letting go to waste.
I also see a spot between the two offensive zone faceoff circles that could have a logo on it.
They're really missing a lot of ad opportunities.

wil, the pelimies song was used when Karpat scored, Karpat obviously being Janne P's old team. It's gone from that to highlight videos of Pesonen with that song in the background or even that one with the weird thing with him as Jesus with pelimies playing. I want to say there's more to it, like him being a fan of the band, but don't quote me on it.

Hey, does anyone know if being out for six weeks qualifies as long-term injury status? I'm wondering if this might actually help the Wings since they are slightly over cap right now. If they don't have to count Chelli for six weeks, it would buy them some time to juggle personnel.
So this might turn out to be a lucky "break".

Sorry to sound greedy. We've been so lucky this past offseason, to the point of gluttony. We're in a position now, where one (at least) D-man has to go, due to the cap. But you hate to see anyone leave the cup winning chemistry.
I feel for you guys the way you were rocked this summer with some of those personnel losses. I was hoping the Wings would luck out the way the flyers did with Hatcher's injury.

My Helsinki feed never really worked today, so I watched Ottawa get pushed around by Frölunda. Yeah, their fans can say "We both beat similar teams by the same score", but they'll never get over that unprecedented display of homo-eroticism staged at center ice shortly before being swept at home last season. 2-0 Pittsburgh, they get outscored 9-2.
Also, Heatley looks completely disinterested in the future of that team. I believe he wants out of there, as was outlined in my gag fake phone call a month ago. They put their "C" on Heater, and he proceeded to skate out of position and lead the team to a calamitous 5-0 drubbing in Montreal. He contributed an incredible cross-check. Spezza wept.
Curry and Bill Thomas obviously not going to make the team, but they're great guys to have around, especially with Stone on the waiver wire today. Godard takes a wing position on the 4th line, leaving newly signed natural centre Tyler Kennedy as the pivot, and the final wing position. Janne Pesonen. As I outlined at Epicbackhander at blogspot, I don't believe Godard sees a regular shift, instead one of our top guys double shifts with the 4th unit. Godard is there to be the sherrif, which is why he'll do better than BG Laraque.
Get ready to mock Philadelphia Fan's pulmonary embolism all year. Go Pens.

I'm not related to Misch, but I played football at Cath. Prep in the early 1990s. When I played, we were still firmly entrenched in the Mina George era and can remember playing Tech and Academy before they merged and became Central.
