If this were the NHL, they would have been banned. Either that, or the Florida Panthers would have tried to draft them early and made some excuse about they were eligible based on the age using the Chinese calendar.

Talk about getting jobbed. Does anyone remember Game 6 of the 2004 Finals? The Flames were up 3-2 in the series and the game was tied at 2-2 late in the 3rd period between the Flames and Lightning. Gelinas directs a puck in on Bulin and everyone thinks it's a save. Turns out on review that the puck went in. That basically would have given the cup to Calgary. Instead, St. Louis scores in overtime and Tank dominates in Game 7.
