Holy crap. How close are you to Eduardo's Pub? I grew up on West 28th Street off of Colonial Avenue, and Eduardo's is on 26th and Colonial.
We used to play roller hockey in the parking lot of those office buildings just off of 26th and Colonial (kind of behind Eduardo's).

the crypt keeper was always solid for horrible jokes. i remember actually being afraid of some of those shows as a kid
and wow, i cannot believe some of the signings and some of the players some teams let walk. my kings fan friend laughed at the caps losing huet and picking up theodore. glad tedy was only thinking about picking up a guy he could call tedy.

That wasn't directed at you, just so you know. I just think it's ridiculous that someone who does nothing but throw a bunch of crap at the wall and sees what sticks somehow gets somewhat-legitimized by XM Radio.
It's completely ridiculous. I can remember during 2006-07 when he posted a deadline day rumor about Martin Rucinsky and he had him projected to go to like 14 or 15 different teams.

He gave up the card shop and started working for Lord I believe, pretty sure he is married and has a couple of kids now. Really great guy though. My Dad and I would go to Bernie's every sunday and watch the football games and play pack poker.

Yeah, I'm kind of rolling on the excuse that I'm trying to go back to school. I was at the Art institute for a little while but I didn't really fit in there so when I quit I did a few odds and ends type jobs. Luckily my mom's fiance has his own business and I can just do a little work for 100 bucks now and then.

Yeah, the more stuff you can buy the better life is really. I'm hoping to be buying a new Jagr jersey lol. I've pretty much become hooked on buying jerseys the past few years. That's not limited to just the pens either. Too bad it's hard to part with 180 or so bucks that often.

the only jersey i ever bought was a crosby one and my brother stole it so my dad gave me his jagr jersey from like 1992.. and i wore it the past few seasons, and proudly so! if double j comes back, i already got a jersey so yay! i mostly buy t-shirts, i have one for just about every pen from last season (sucks that most are gone now..)
Lol yeah. I have a Jagr from '97. I've kind of lucked out because the other team I really like in the NHL is Tampa and it just so happens that most of our guys went there so I'm not too bitter. It'll be ok though...Ray Shero knows what he's doing and knows what this team is capable of next year so as far as I'm concerned tomorrow is another day and whatever happens, happens.

Yes, definitely. Don't get me wrong it sucks to see our guys walk but they all walked from us and I highly doubt sHero pushed anyone away. We have priorities and so did they. Ours were to get better theirs were to get richer.
yeah.. it sucks that there are too many players (in all sports) that only look at dollar $igns many times above winning and fan support.. but 'tis the way of the world, and for sure shero is doing whats best

what about orpik?
I was hoping Orpik would be signed already but that's one I really hope gets done. I didn't want it to even be a question but it has become one. I figured all that I would have to really worry about was a few scoring line guys and everyone else would fall in place. Orpik waited the day our and saw a lot of D-men go for huge amounts of cash.
Jagr has an attitude it seems but I think coming here could be the best thing for him. He's not the main attraction but he has the possibility of putting up new best numbers since he's last played here.

exactly. he ca go either way and thats a bit disheartening for many fans i guess.. imo he could do more to help the team on the ice, and off the ice, well no one can really control that.. maybe mario will have a nice chat with him to try to avert any prima donna-ness..

Yes, maybe Mario will let Jagr stay at his house when Crosby moves out. Jagr's house here is already occupied by Petr Sykora. I think it could be a good environment here. Not a huge city but a great hockey city with great fans.

I have tendinitis in my calves so I can't really run for any period of time. I find myself hitting the ice a few times a week to skate though. Nothing better than a few hours on fresh ice by yourself.
They alternate towels because they aren't looking for conflict. Crosby doesn't get the remote because Mario thinks TV is a distraction during the season.
