Orpik, rabble rabble.
Hossa, rabble rabble.

How pumped is Phil Hartman for Ice Hockey on Atari?
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Early stages of the C-Blog Map.
We're gonna have two maps.
One of the whole USA...and then one for Pennsylvania alone.

Putting a Winter in the Sun in this post would actually make the post more pathetic than it currently is.

Like the C-blog map idea boys.
I am in Jacksonville, FL, and would be honored to have a little "dot" on the map if you care to do so. Regardless, it's a great idea. We are together here you know, distance is only secondary.
@Chica: I know I love that picture of them ...
Sadly, I have to get off ... my Dad's orders and if my brother tells on me, I will never be able to visit c-blog again! Good night!
Night Kaspar!
I wish I could be there for wingblog tomorrow.

+1,000,000 for Green Street Hooligans. Who knew Elijah had it in him?
Oop, I'm currently missing from western MA... cool to have some peeps from Boston though! I can't wait to see when it's finished. Are we including Canada and the rest of the world somehow too?
Also Chica, I heart your avatar too.

Need a dot on Ukiah California!!
That commercial makes me wanna wipe the dust off my nintendo NES ice hockey and try 245 times to get it to actually work..
On second thought, I'll just sit around and wait till july 1
Have a great time Rachele!
I'll eat my candy with the pork and beans.
rachel as long as you stick to the tourist places and don't get drunk and leave with a jefe non penguino, you should be fine! just be careful of mystery "meat", bathrooms, and KFCs!
thanks chica!
lol kj.... i'll just kick someone in the balls with my heels! wooo
Ok I have to add The Motorcycle Diaries. I'm done with my list now.
eileen your list dominates my list of two.
chica, I also am loving your picture!
Today = the early hours of June 28. Three more days, everyone.
I can't wait for the Pennsylvania map. That'll be fun to see.
@Colin
Hey at least I'm good for something right?
Along with many other things I am sure.
Eh.
finally, the map.
Boston crew represent.
oh man I loved Atari growing up. Nothing could beat pong or space invaders.
i miss going to the diner down the street that had a galaga machine and plugging quarter after quarter into that thing.
ohhh, 2003 on vh1, what happened in the year i almost kicked it?
chica - that pic looks familiar. It is one of my favs.
the map needs a dot at the very tip top of VA!!!!
no baltimore love
even though i was born and raised in the burgh
cool map!
i saw a similiar one on another Pens site, and you had to add yourself to it, but this one is different. Are you added by staff according to IP address? Casue if so, mine apparently says I'm in Staten Island New York, but I'm really in Floral Park New York. (it's like an hour away, and i have no clue why my IP address says I'm there)
@Staff -I want a dot in Ottawa On Canada. You can still use the map you have.
Please & Thanks.
here are my choices for tv right now - CBC: Back to the Future.
Local sports - On/Que in a grudge match of Cricket. Who knew Canadians played cricket.
Rachele- have fun in Mexico!!
Be Safe!!!!!!!!!!!
allison - that would be TSCS, you are referencing.
We did have geographyblog on this site before also.
@carroll...yea that was the one.
and i musta totally missed out on geographyblog... I've only been around since the tail end of the New York series in the playoffs
Dark Knightblog
http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_seyret&Itemid=221&task=videodirectlink&id=1222
12 clips of the movie.
Can you resist?
They won't give away anything that the trailers haven't, but you'll get a rough idea of the plot.
let me revise that.
Don't watch the clip titled "break in."
They showed Dark Knight trailers during every commercial break for Batman Begins last night. I'm so pumped.
@eileen- is there a movie you've seen and not actually liked??
@Carroll
I'm sure people will think I'm crazy, but I didn't like Talladega Nights.
eileen - I didn't see it. I know it was popular. Was it just to cheesy for you?
Pathetically awesome post...
Phil Hartman rocks!
eileen,
You're not alonr...
Sorry guys, for the misspells... I'm a little tipsy... ;)
@Carroll
I didn't think most of the jokes were funny at all and it was just overdone.
Well I'm off to bed. If for some reason I'm not on tomorrow, I'll see some of you at Wingblog!
alrighty, I need some cblog help.
The other day I was in a sports store at the mall, and they had a whole bin of pictures that said $1.00. So I went through it and bought this one. The thing is, I have no clue who it is lol. The picture of the picture is obviously not the best quality, but the patch on his front right says the year 2000, so it's from either the 99-00 or 00-01 season.
I could search for the answer myself, but as I'm not computer/Internet savvy, I figured it would be much quicker to ask you guys.
i'd say that's german titov. he always had that deer in the headlights look, but i'm not in the right room to check and see if he was 9
99-01: 9 Rene Corbet LW 183 198 25.06. 1973 Victoriaville, PQ
00-01: 9 Rene Corbet LW 183 198 25.06. 1973 Victoriaville, PQ
I'm going with Rene Corbet..
http://www.pensweb.com/players/roster-in-2000-01-season.html
99-00 also: 9 German Titov C 180 176 18.10. 1965 Moscow
Changing my answer and going with KJ's answer.
I guess there were 2 players who wore #9 that year.
What time is Wingblog tomorrow? I should go over and get some wings from one of the pizza joints here at the same time...then I won't feel so left out.
sadchicablog
yea, ok thanks guys!!!!!!!
that's the prob i had the first time i tried searching, i came across too many number 9's.
so
generelconsensusblog= German Titov
chica - I think it was 6 or 7pm. Which makes that an early dinner for you.
Living far away from Pittsburgh SUCKS!!
Everyone who is going to wingblog -have an amazing time!!!

Okay. Final concept jerseys are done, I think. I used Stephen's logos and learned how to make them look like a more realistic jersey crest. I'm really impressed with the final result. Gloves have also been added. Enjoy!
Penguins Concept Home Jersey.
Penguins Concept Away Jersey.
Penguins Concept Alternate Jersey.
Now if only I can figure out how to import them into the game. Hah.

POND HOCKEY
Hat tricK
It's supposed to be pretty toasty here tomorrow too, and most homes like mine are not equipped with AC. Maybe I'll go loiter at the pizza joint.
But I need to go to bed; I'm falling asleep here in my chair.
Y'all have a wonderful time tomorrow, and those of us not able to be there will be thinkin' of yinz! Night night.
Oh man. Gretzky and Gaborik.
@ colin, I didn't think Elijah had it in him either. Great movie though. My friend and I actually did the first scene for our unarmed stage combat fight in school. Accents and all. haha.
I hope that's my dot down in Socal...
SHOEZ -- "I wish these were real and could be purchased. Hah."
;)
Need a dot for Richmond, Virginia, as well.
Working on Saturday = Bad thing
Working on Saturday getting you out of helping your sister move in 100 degree heat = good thing.
Going to New Orleans for a few days...I'm gonna miss this place. *tear*
minoradditiontomovieblog- I saw WALL-E last night, thoroughly recommend it (just don't sit in front of two kids that never shut up- seriously, who brings 8 year olds to a 10 pm showing?)
Caputi! (I love that name)
So quite, like the calm before the storm. Let's hope the storm makes us all smile with the signings.
lastdayofvacationblog.
July1st.
The map of Pennsylvania=stunned (with blue dots)
hey staff, for the map of the US, put down a marker for lowville, new york. its near canada, and the best way to find it is probably google.
i do spent a few weeks a year though visiting my Pittsburgh family that live in Pleasant Hills and McKeesport, thats how i'm a huge Pens fan
Nice to see DC Pens nation represented well on the map so far.
PIttston, PA needs some representation on the c-blog map!
cool map....am I that lone little dot on Chicago. I'm. In the middle of nowhere out there in terms of other people lol..
ooo...theres two dots on Chicago. Who's the other Chicago-person
WHAT A GREAT POST!!!!!
sadly, i'm here in Philly
wheres pa?
nice idea such a map
Oh Staff, how you tease.
Also, the parade for McDonald is a little later than I thought. Should still be getting to wingblog just in time for things to get rowdy...
Please add a dot in Baltimore MD for yours truly! And maybe the 5 or 6 other people here that watch hockey...
I knew me throwing Titov's name out there about a month ago would def come back around. He;s the f'in man!
sh0ez, do you have the template for that?
Oh, and when and where is wingblog? I may be in. "Thunder" is rather meh this year, so I may be up for a roadtrip later.
it's at the quaker steak and lube in robinson j.s.
footballblog
also watching ESPN right now, and Goddell is calling the rookie guaranteed money "ridiculous". In a way, I kinda agree with him. Nothing like throwing tens of millions of dollars at somebody based on potential. If they make it through their first rookie contract and prove they are worth that money , or should I say a team thinks they are worth their money, then good for them. But that's like having me taking a job, and having the employer give me a 6 figure bonus, based on what he thinks I can do.
Then again, maybe I'm just ranting because I'm not pulling in that kind of coin. ;)
starts at 6.... forgot the time lol
I was reading the NHL 07-08 yearbook online, and found a couple interesting names:
Charlie Pens, a defenseman playing for Quebec of the QMJHL. He played only 1 game and recorded 0 points.
Thought that was an interesting name for the blog.
Eddie Olczyk, a forward who played for Souix City and Waterloo of the USHL. He played in 53 games between the two teams, and scored 7 goals and 6 assists with 19 PIM.
For the Pirates fans out there, there is a Clemente in hockey. Michael Clemente, who plays for the US National Development Team in the NAHL. 13 GP, 2 PIM.
And two prospects for my hometown Nashville Predators, Ryan Thang, and John Vigilante. Love those names.
SUMMER SUCKS, DROP THE PUCK!!!
If I were in Pittsburgh, I'd definitely be at wingblog. Oh well, I'll be in the Burgh in August for some wedding with the gf.
BTW--was anyone at the equipment sale yesterday? My cousin said she would stop by to pick up a pair of gloves for me. I wonder how packed it was.
cblogmapblog: Severn, MD 21144 please!
crosby should go back to using his sher-wood sticks, somehow I just want to say this
he broke 2 of his rbk sticks in a row in the sc final, used his sher-wood basically his whole life, dno but somehow I'd be glad if he switches back, he's also still using a sher-wood blade he used his whole life
dno why I had to bring this up
so don't care, whatev
lol thanks, I was gonna ask about the time. I may be in for it.
(hits mapquest for directions)
two things:
the pens tanked the stanley cup because crosby isnt old enough to drink out of it.
and i just disproved the flat earth theory, because how else could bugs bunny dig a hole straight to china?
carry on.
@ doc -
I was at the sale yesterday. It was extreemly crowded. I was there about 45 minutes early and there was barely anything left. I did manage to get some Adam Hall glove (pics are in the last posts' comments).
just got back to PA from vacation and caught up on the blogging I missed...
Hossa, Orpik turning down offers? WTF is that?
Orpik looks like he's favoring Buffajoke to play with his little brother.
Hossa, I'm still optimistic he is staying, his agent is just mindfucking us all.
@ jefe
"and i just disproved the flat earth theory, because how else could bugs bunny dig a hole straight to china?"
I have to requestion everything I thought I knew.
also i'd like a dot in southwest corner of missouri in Mt. Vernon.
PumpedforWingblog.
@ j.s.: Thunder In The Valley? Ha ha.
I'm so stoked for Wingblog!
need another dot in Indiana! mark me down in Kokomo, Indiana.
@ jefe: did you see "Wanted" in IMAX? if so i am incredibly jealous! i may be going out to see that movie again next weekend (thinking of watching it drunk this time, lol).
@ nw: i love ur profile pic.
@ pitthockey: thanks for posting the DK clips. yet another reason to be excited for July.
@brnd -the theater i go to is the largest in arizona (Cine-Carpi). it tromps the normal imax. i dont think Wanted is showing in imax anyway.
anyone else avoid movie previews if possible? once i see a clip and it looks good, i dont want to see the same clips over and over as they add more and more to them. ruins things (ie dark knight). im sick of that movie already.
New post is up...
Any chance of a world C-blog map?
