i don't even care that they won, they blew a 4-0 lead. how the *beep* does that happen? once again power play sucked and we can't play 60 minutes of hockey.
and oh yeah, crosby fighting will maybe make some haters shut up :)
There would have been a meeting at the Westinghouse Bridge if the Pens lose this game.
So, will Crosby dropping the gloves be enough to shut up the nay-sayers harping that he has to lead by example?
I doubt it.....
We did really well the first 2.75 periods. Went downhill after that, Eaton going off the ice almost gave me a heart attack, and Letang is a beast and pushed Crosby to number 3 in the shoot out.
Am I the only one to notice that Crosby forgot to actually drop his gloves at the beginning of that fight? lol!

You knew that this day was coming for Sid. Part of me is surprised that it took this long for him to finally snap and beat the piss out of some jobber, and I'd bet the farm that it'll happen multiple times before his career's over. Hell, Mario got into about a half dozen fights in his career. Sometimes you just get pushed too far, and sometimes Sidney Crosby has to cut a bitch.
yeah we blew a 4 goal lead, yeah Sid and Geno combined for 3 of the 4 goals, yeah Jordan Staal blew 2 more golden scoring chances, yeah Conklin looked shaky, yeah Chara pussed out on Georges twice, yeah Eaton is out for who knows how long, yeah we gave another point to a conference team, but hey if you're not used to this by now, you're not living on planet Earth

FSN's game graphics crew really dropped the ball during the first Chara-Laraque fight. The "Tale of the Tape" for that round showed Chris Thorburn and Zdeno Chara as the combatants. CHRIS THORBURN. Does the FSN crew realize that we haven't had him for quite some time? Let's get fucking real here.
Aside from that, great first half or two-thirds of the game, then completely downhill. How the fuck do you blow a 4-0 lead? Powerplay looked awful as well. We still won though, just too close for comfort after we came out on fire.
Center Ice was running the Boston broadcast, on it they had Fitzgerald somebody, I forget his exact name cause I'm a ignorant Wing fan- he was talking about the Crosby fight, saying he shouldn't because, what if he breaks a knuckle?! Personally, I think it'd be cool to see him drop the gloves more often, it's great when skill players do it. In the Wings game, Mr. Lady Byng, Pavel Datsyuk, even got in a shoving match. Must be something in the water.
Seeing Crosby drop the gloves was very refreshing. And early consensus shows that some people really were impressed that he did so (viewing comments on the only youtube vid of it at the moment).
Ference ain't a bad fighter either, he's had quite a few scraps. Beat the crap out of Cory Stillman.
