Forgot to Remember to Forget

Right out of the gate, huge props to good friend SnoopyJode for this solid post.
She found a stunning youtube clip of two complete jerkoffs stalking Sidney Crosby.

We could not agree more on the subject of stalking players.

Autographs were cool when we were like 8.
Now they are whatev.

Well, the Vancouver Canucks jobbed everyone.

We all thought they were releasing a new logo and uniforms, but nope.
The had a secret photo shoot for the uniforms, but no pictures released.

.................................

The Devils re-signed their Sidney Crosby.

Zach Parise $12.5 million over the next 4 years.
Considering his potential, this is finally a logical NHL contract for a big player.

The Predators are staying in Nashville.
Predators fans celebrate by complaining about their team.

.......................................................

The Hockey News squats and poops on Nashville's face:
Nashville, don't get your hopes up.

Apparently, what has happened in Nashville recently mirrors what happened up in Winnipeg before the Jets had to peace out.

NHL News

After the Rangers made Sean Avery look like a complete farce, the two entities are still together.
Arbitration awarded Avery a 1-year, $1.9 million deal.

After the $500,000 Avery will probably pay in fines this year, he'll be making roughly $1.4 million.

After all that jobbing at the arbitration hearings, it's gotta be awkward.

No malice is intended here, but when you hear about something collapsing in Minneapolis, you instantly think of the 1991 Minnesota North Stars in Game 6.

But not anymore.

Terrible

Our thoughts and prayers are with Minnesota tonight.

.......................................

In 1995, this would have been sweet.
Not anymore. It's kind of sad.
James Farrior is a solid football player.
But you'd have to believe this guy is the only person on Earth to have James Farrior tattooed on himself.

They don't take themselves too seriously over there. It's perfect.

Winter in The Sun
Game #62
Tuesday, February 27
The Devils Own. PENS LOSE.

1 - 0

The rest of second was a nightmare. Malkin, the only one who looked fresh, hit the post streaking down the left wing.
Brodeur was as solid as ever. He's been motivated ever since his wife left a message for him on the fridge last week.

Towards the end of the period, Homo Scott Gomez took a penalty.
All of a sudden, there was hope for the third.

When playing the Devils, it's hard to tell if your team is not playing well or if they just can't get it going.

" Man we are so awesome "

The Pens killed it off and gained some momentum from the penalty kill.
An Armstrong hit and Talbot laying his life on the line brought some life to the team.

No truth to the rumor that Talbot blocked the shot that could've killed Reagan.
Look at that dude with the gun.

The Pens got the puck in the Devils zone.

Tiff,

Yes that is BGL doing Yoga, the quote is from "Blow"

Rookie of the year should of won an oscar.

Jon,
If you go back to some earlier games this season, Steigy and Errey openly talked about how they loved Gary Roberts. It made me sick.

Who does Gary Roberts look like?
I can't put my finger on it.

Derek = Joke.

Did we ever get a consensus on who Gary Roberts looks like? (Can you believe how *smiley* he is in that press conference picture?)

Great post, Snoop (staff, too :P ). Those guys are a couple of tools. I've never understood what makes people think that they have the right to do something like that to anybody, let alone a celebrity. Dicks.

Dude, another joke about the Minnesota bridge? Are u clueless?

I don't care how much money you make, it doesn't entitle people to visit your house to ask for an autograph, and what the hell was with taking a pic of his license plate? That's why they live in gated mansions.

Weren't the Jets doomed because they lacked a new facility? I don't think Nashville has anything to worry about there. Filling up the suites is another story.

And the pic of the baby on the toilet reading the news is priceless.

Any truth to the rumor that snoop found out about those guys while she was stalking Sid?

I kid, I kid...

i absolutely did not believe my eyes when i found that clip. you have to wonder what makes people think they have the right to do stupid shit like that.

Anaheim declined to match Edmonton's offer sheet to Dustin Penner, so the Oilers can enjoy overpaying him for the next five years. The only problem is how is this going to affect Staal's and Malkin's contract demands, since both of them are worlds better than Penner?

KM, you are the reason why thePensBlog Sucks. Go away.

Loser Chris said...

Hopefully the Parise contract will help keep contracts under control since I think 29 of the GMs in the NHL think the Penner deal is insane.

Is that really a pic of Kenny Melvin or some random balding teenager?

Not that I have much room to talk.

Kenny Melvin said...

Yes Zarley that's my myspace picture, In arena news the new arena won't open until the 2010-11 season.

you might want to check out Gary Roberts achievments on wiki. I wasn't responsible, but it's still worth a laugh.

The wiki staff must have already gotten wind of it because it's not there anymore.

Well, the achievement may have been deleted on Wikipedia, but there's an interesting NHL statistic...

Whoever WAS responsible....well done. [golf clap]

Pretty much sums up the Penner saga!
