According to FSN and Rob King, the arena deal is done and press conference could be held sometime tomorrow. Rob King does not lie.

It looks as though the Penguins will be without forward Georges Laraque for tomorrow night’s game vs. Buffalo. Laraque did not practice today due to back spasms and assistant coach Andre Savard said he doubted the enforcer would play Tuesday.

The 11:00PM newscast on KDKA TV Channel 2 is reporting that an Arena Deal with the Penguins is done. An announcement will be made before Tuesday's home game against the Buffalo Sabres. The meeting scheduled for Wednesday is still on, will take place in Pittsburgh, and will take care of crossing the T's and dotting the I's. Hopefully, KDKA's sources are correct about this.
I can go to sleep very, very happy! But I probably won't be getting any now!!

ok let me get this time line straight so around 11 pm PENSBLOG had the pens staying in pittsburgh
1 hour later, ESPN (the worldwide leader of sports) except hockey put it on the web page
Wow. I can't believe I'll actually get some sleep tonight. I was dwelling all day on how things would be Thursday morning... Now maybe, just maybe, this is the closure to this near-decade long uncertainty.
I knew with fans like all of us, this would get done. Teej and I went to the Dec. 2 vs. Islanders game, my first in years, and I couldn't believe the atmosphere. It gave me a good feeling about the IOC deal... Then it fell through... Then a few weeks later, something magical happened and suddenly, the "Greatest Fans in Hockey" appeared in the ice, and thus, the prophecy was set in stone.
Thank you all, they couldn't have done it without us!
