Today is easily....hold up, what a big win for the Pens last night. Penguins are in first place again. Crosby is tied for second in points with 18; Jagr has 20.
OK, today is easily the biggest day of traffic in the 52-day history of the Pensblog. We average about 350 unique visitors a day (about 345 more than we were expecting when we started). Today, however, Deadspin.com linked to our Mario Lemieux Facts and we've already received about 930 unique visitors. Wow.
Thanks to 'shorty' for telling us that Deadspin linked to us today.
Special thanks to 'Dennis' for sending the URL to Deadspin in the first place.
We had a good little tussle in the comments section of last night's game recap, as a semi-heated debate about girl hockey fans erupted. To make my stance, I love hockey fans of all genders. Some of the best people I can talk to about the Pens are girls. I just hate snobby, make-up dripping, short-skirt wearing girls who show up at games and don't even know what they're watching.
And to be honest, girls pay closer attention to detail, so a girl Pens fans who knows their shit is a good drinkin buddy.

...Hold onto your reproductive organs as Google and the NHL are teaming up to give us this (free for the first two weeks of November)...
...Normally, I don't criticize anyone trying to make a living. Unless, of course, you are slowly making my corneas melt...just like Shelley Anderson's Post-Gazette articles do. Anderson felt the need to point out that Malkin may not be the clear-cut rookie of the year in 2006-07. OK.
...Dave Molinari did a Q & A session, and I wasn't even compelled to click the link. Whatever happened to picking up a newspaper...

...Finally, we had an anonymous commenter who swears that, after Welch's tying-goal in the Kings game, Mike Lange (on 105.9 - The X) said "He shit in a bald man's cap".
Can anyone confirm or deny this? For now, I'm taking the anonymous commenter on his word.
