The Buffalo Sabres continue their run towards an 82-0 season. They are now 4-0 after beating Detroit tonight in a shootout. The Pens managed 13 shots against Detroit; Buffalo had 17 tonight.
At the other end of the spectrum, the Carolina Hurricanes finally ended their Stanley Cup hangover tonight with a 4-3 win over Atlanta. They took a page out the Penguins book, scoring the game-winner with 0.5 seconds left. Carolina coming to Pittsburgh for the second game on back-to-back nights is such a good thing.
Montreal Canadien rookie Guillaume Latendresse took to the ice this year wearing uniform number 84.
It is now official: every number from 1 to 99 has been worn in an NHL game.
The highest Penguin uniform number ever would be Aleksey Morozov (95), I assume.
